The Forum of Young Cinema UMUT is an international film event that since 2013 brings together young filmmakers from different countries in the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The UMUT Forum is a unique combination of film festival formats, an educational and discussion platform where young filmmakers can present their works in competitions, participate in professional discussions, master classes, improve their knowledge, and gain opportunities for promotion and realization of their projects.
The Young Cinema Forum UMUT is organized by the Public Fund for Culture "UmutArtCinema" with the financial support of the Department of Cinematography under the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the CIS countries.
The goal of the forum is to support talented youth, create conditions for their creative and professional growth, as well as to discover new names in the world of cinema.
The mission of the UMUT Forum is to inspire and support young filmmakers in creating cinema as an art.
