The ҮМҮТ Young Cinema Forum is an international film event that has brought together young filmmakers from around the world in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, since 2013. The UMYT Forum is a unique combination of a film festival, educational platform, and discussion platform where young filmmakers can present their work in competitions, participate in professional discussions and master classes, improve their knowledge, and gain opportunities to promote and implement their projects.
The ҮМҮТ Young Cinema Forum is organized by the "UmutArtCinema" Public Cultural Foundation with financial support from the Department of Cinematography under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS Countries. The forum aims to support talented young people, create conditions for their creative and professional growth, and discover new names in the world of cinema. The mission of the ҮМҮТ Forum is to inspire and support young filmmakers in creating cinema as an art form.
